We are hosting a homeschool course for learning outside at the farm! Through nature walks, time with goats (Including baby kids!), snuggling rabbits, feeding chickens, digging in the garden, and small building projects, we will be employing ways to connect head knowledge to your hands. Students will be planting their own plants and tending to them, learning how to care for goats and chickens and rabbits, identifying plants, and more. (In addition to building friendships with the rest of the crew at the farm)
Even if there is inclement weather, class will occur. We have a barn to protect from rain, even though only the parents seem to use it! Feel free to bring snacks or even a picnic lunch before class.
Classes are EITHER
Tuesdays April 1- May 6 1:30 - 3:30 SOLD OUT
OR Thursdays April 3 - May 8 1:30 - 3:30 SOLD OUT
Class size is limited to around 20 kiddos
This is possible as a drop off class - or a chance to stay with your students. ***If they are under 5, a parent must stay. **** The exact lessons will be tailored to the age brackets signed up.
The class curriculum is 100% created by us at Shipshape Farm.
This course seems to be a favorite for 6-10 year olds, however - we welcome older and younger and will do our best to accommodate!
